Course Material & Copyright 

Please note that all our course material is protected by registered Copyright. All rights reserved. This means that intellectual content and illustrations may only be reproduced or used with written consent. This also includes re-writing it with your own words to use it in your own teacher trainings. If there is anything you’d like to use in another context, contact us and we’ll discuss it.
Also, please contact us if you’d like to team up with us for teacher trainings. Cooperation, not competition. 

If you’d like to run your own teacher trainings, we strongly recommend at least 2 years of practice followed by 7 years of experience of regular teaching on the specific subject.

Cancellation Policy for Online teacher trainings:

Health

It is your responsibility to inform us of any health issues and to always practice with care. We accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury or illness obtained during your training, workshop or any other class sessions with us. We always recommend that you have health insurance.
Note: if you are going through a medical treatment, or have done so recently, or if you are on medications prescribed for mental health issues, please note that you HAVE TO INFORM US before you pay the deposit. If you do not, we remain the right to cancel your booking and the deposit will be returned to your account. We are sorry if this sounds harsh but we insist: health issues should never be ignored.

If the training is cancelled by the organiser

If the advertised teacher is unable to attend for any reason we will provide an alternative and equally well-qualified teacher.
If we do need to cancel the whole training for our own reasons, we will refund to you all deposits and payments.

Note: if there are less than 6 bookings 4 weeks prior to the course start, we reserve the right to cancel the course. The participants will get a full refund of the course fee.

We cannot however, no matter the reason for cancellation, compensate you for airfare, hotel bookings or any other travel expenses.

Cancellation by client

  • 2 months or more before the start of the teacher training: 100% refund, minus the deposit. (You can use the deposit for other training/retreats/workshops with us)
  • 1 to 2 months before the start of the teacher training: 50% refund, minus the deposit. (You can use the deposit for other training/retreats/workshops with us)
  • Up to 1 month before the start of the teacher training: 0% refund will be given, and the deposit can’t be used for other trainings.

The deposit is non-refundable (even with a doctor’s certificate) – but if you have to cancel your plans: no worries:
If you inform us
 1 month before the training starts at the latest, you can use the deposit for other trainings/retreats/workshops with us: and then there are two options for your deposit:

  • It can be used by a friend if he/she signs up through you and pays the full price for the teacher training (no discounts).
  • It can be used by you for another teacher training or a retreat with us.

Please note that courses organized by other companies, where payments are NOT being made to Yoga Treat or YogaLeela are NOT included in our terms and conditions.

Attendance

  • If you miss a day or less, you can make it up for free
  • If you miss more, you can make it up with another group for an admin fee of 50 GBP

If you’ve already done a course with us and would like to do it again, in most cases you’ll get the course for free and you’ll only have to pay an admin fee. Please contact us for exact details for each course. 

Cancellation Policy for Online Workshops (5 hrs or less) 

Your space is not guaranteed until we have received your full payment.
The payment is non-refundable but can be transferred to a friend for the same course and date.
The payment cannot be transferred to another course or another date.

Exception:
For the following workshops:
– Strong throughout menopause (3 October 2021)
– Stark genom klimakteriet (11 November 2021)

The payment (minus a 100 SEK admin fee) can be transferred to another course or workshop with Monika Björn or Jennie Wadsten if the cancellation is received no later than one month before the workshop starts.

Cancellation Policy for in studio teacher trainings and workshops

Health

It is your responsibility to inform us of any health issues and to always practice with care. We accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury or illness obtained during your retreat, training, workshop or any other class sessions with us, or for travel costs to or from the venue. We always recommend that you have travel insurance and health insurance.
Note: if you are going through a medical treatment, or have done so recently, or if you are on medications prescribed for mental health issues, you must provide a Doctor’s certificate confirming your ability to travel and take part in the training/session. If this is the case, contact us prior to arranging a certificate and we will see what is required for you. Please note that you HAVE TO INFORM US before you pay the deposit. If you do not, we remain the right to cancel your booking and the deposit will be returned to your account. We are sorry if this sounds harsh but we insist: health issues should never be ignored.

If the retreat or event is cancelled by the organiser

If the advertised teacher is unable to attend for any reason we will provide an alternative and equally well-qualified teacher.
If we do need to cancel a trip or training for our OWN reasons, we will refund to you all deposits and payments.
We cannot however, no matter the reason for cancellation, compensate you for airfare, hotel bookings or other travel expenses.

In the unlikely event that the event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, such as (but not limited to): force majeure, lockdowns, weather, natural disaster or political upheaval, we cannot guarantee a refund but in many cases we can carry the deposit over to a later date.  This is dependent on receiving a refund from the venue/studio we work with. 

Note: if there are less than 8 bookings 4 weeks prior to the course start, we reserve the right to cancel the course. The participants will get a full refund of the course fee.

Travel Insurance

It is highly recommended to purchase travel insurance. Travel Insurance can protect you financially and offer peace of mind in case:

  • You cancel your participation in the retreat or event
  • Retreat or event is cancelled due to weather, natural disaster, or not enough participants to run the event
  • Lost baggage
  • Medical expenses and the cost of repatriation if you become ill or injured

Cancellation by client

  • 2 months or more before the start of the teacher training: 100% refund, minus the deposit. (You can use the deposit for other training/retreats/workshops with us)

During Covid-19 we have specific agreements for the Yoga Nidra courses in Stockholm May 2021 in addition to these T&C, meaning if you get Covid-19 or symptoms close to time, you won’t get a refund but you won’t lose your money: you can transfer the full amount to a later date (or another course of your choice). This does NOT apply if you cancel for other reasons than you Covid-19 symptoms or Covid-19 illness.

  • Less than 2 months before the start of the retreat: 0% refund will be given, and the deposit can’t be used for other retreats.

  • It can be used by a friend if he/she signs up through you and pays the full price for the retreat (no discounts).
  • It can be used by you for another retreat with any of us in the team.

Please note that payments made directly to the retreat centres are NOT included in Yoga Treat’s terms and conditions.

GDPR

In line with guidelines for GDPR: We promise you that Yoga Treat will securely store your data in a password protected folder which only the CEO:s (Melanie Cooper and Jennie Wadsten) have access to. Your data will NOT be shared with anyone else. Yoga Treat will keep your data for five years. Once this period has expired, we will delete your data. If you would like us to delete it before that date just let us know.
