“You might not need more advice. You might just need to actually do what you already know you need to.” – Cory Allen
I hope you’re well. I’ve been thinking a lot about all advice we get on social media all the time. “Do this for your health”. Maybe we don’t need more advice?! Like Cory Allen’s quote above.
I believe a lot falls into place when we practise Yoga Nidra. When we find our way back to ourselves. And I want to encourage that: to do LESS, to stop looking for solutions outside yourself again and again… So here’s a little gift for you:
FREE Yoga Nidra Classes Online 15 February 2026 (Swedish)
So the thing is: you can’t do it all. You can’t do EVERYTHING. If you say yes to something – you have to say no to something else. And to be able to choose, we have to be connected to ourselves. And I think Yoga Nidra can really help us with that.
Now I’ve been in India for a bit more than one month and “I don’t get anything done”. But actually I do! I do things that really matter to me. 🙂 I sleep a lot. I swim in the ocean. I hang out with my cat and husband. I study Hindi. I teach a few yoga classes per week. I do some admin every day, and I enjoy it. 🙂 And I do a lot of Bollywood dancing! (In my latest newsletter (January) I shared some links for brilliant online classes if you also want to enjoy Bollywood dancing. Let me know if you missed it.
Life is not (only) about ticking off to do lists…
But I’m still struggling sometimes with feeling “useless” when I have a backlog of emails to reply to… or when other admin work piles up. Because I’m still practising to challenge something that was my identity for so many years: that I must PERFORM to be successful. It kind of sits deep… Anyone else? But! The older I get, the easier it gets!
I used to think that being successful was about the big things… But it’s the everyday magic that makes life so beautiful! A cuddle with the cat for example…
Nowadays, to me, being “successful” means waking up without anxiety.
Exciting about the day, not dreading it. Having plenty of TIME to do what I love…
And that’s huge!
If you also have a history of depression and anxiety, you totally understand that feeling. When it starts to shift… wow.
I hope that my Yoga Nidra classes can help you, even if it’s just a little, with navigating the changes in life, and gently guiding you back home to yourself. To feeling safe and supported. I’m with you.
Much Love, Jennie 💛
Oh btw! If you find any spelling mistakes or weird grammar: don’t judge me. 🙂 I don’t use AI to write my texts. I’m not saying it’s wrong, but personally I prefer the unpolished, perfectly imperfect expressions. 🙂
